ZEE5 has been our favorite OTT platform since its launch and the content is always superlative. What I loved the most about this platform is its appeal for all in the family. There’s something for kids, there’s something for parents and even for grandparents.
Another thing that I look forward to watch on ZEE5 is the multi-lingual content – Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil and so on. There are awesome movies, shows and more when it comes to regional languages of India.
ZEE5 Tamil shows are all about different aspects of human life – thriller, emotions and comedy. Talking about the thriller, one show that deserves a big mention is – Yaaradi Nee Mohini!
Read on to find out why I love to watch it. Also, I was curious to know more about the main leads of this show so decided to research a bit about them.

What’s Yaaradi Nee Mohini?
Yaaradi Nee Mohini means “Who are you, beautiful woman” in English. This is a thriller soap opera, produced by Monk Studios. The soap is really amazing and that’s the reason why it is remade in Kannada as Yaare Nee Mohini, in Telugu as Evare Nuvvu Mohin, in Malayalam as Aaranee Sundhari and even in Odia as Mu Be Aradhagini.
Yaaradi Nee Mohini is supposed to be the second biggest budgeted series in South India. The show started airing on Zee Tamil on April 24, 2017. Thanks to ZEE5 because people who missed watching it that time, now can watch it from the comfort of their home.
Written by E. Ashokan and directed by N. Priyan, the opening song of Yaaradi Nee Mohini goes by its name “Yaaradi Nee Mohini”.
The strong star cast of Shreekumar Ganesh casted as Mutharasan, Nachathira as Vennila, Chaitra Reddy as Shwetha, Yamuna Chinnadurai as Chitra, Lisha as Ruthra, Fathima Babu as Neelambari, and Murali Krish as Annamalai makes Yaaradi Nee Mohini a superb watch.

Plot of Yaaradi Nee Mohini
The storyline of Yaaradi Nee Mohini centers on Mutharasan who is the grandson of a rich landlord. After he loses his mother, his father remarries Nilambari, who is a villainous woman and is scheming to kill his father. While his father blindly trusts Nilambari, she conspires against him to acquire his property for her children. A clause forbids her and stands in her way of doing this. The clause states that Mutharasan’s wife must sign and so Nilambari brings her niece, Shwetha, to get her married to Mutharasan.
In the mean time, Chitra who is Mutharasan’s dead spouse [played ably by Yamuna] is a spirit presently out to ruin Neelambari’s shrewd plans.
I won’t reveal much because it’s worth watching on ZEE5 how the drama unfolds and what happens next in the lives of Mutharasan, Chitra and Shwetha.
Do you know this about the actors of Yaaradi Nee Mohini?
I particularly like the protagonist and antagonist because these are the people who add all the spice to any TV show. Shreekumar as Mutharasan and Fathima Babu as Neelambari have acted so well in Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
Shreekumar
Shreekumar Ganesh is a Tamil television actor. He is best known for playing various roles in Super Hit Serials Anandham (2003–2009), Ahalya (2004–2006), Bhandham (2006–2009), Uravugal (2009–2012), Idhayam (2009–2012) and Bommalattam (2012–2016) on Sun TV (India).
He is noted for his leading roles in Naanal, Pillai Nila, Thalayanai Pookal, Devathayai Kanden and Yaardai Nee Mohini. He has also appeared in a number of Tamil movies.
Shreekumar is a son of popular music director Sankar Ganesh. He is a close friend of Kollywood actor Vijay and TV actors Sanjeev and Deepak Dinkar. Shreekumar and his co-star Shamitha had married in 2009 and they have two children.
After debuting in Kavyanjali in 2001, Shreekumar has never looked back. In 2017, He was a part of Devathayai Kanden which is an Indian Tamil-language psychological thriller soap opera.
It will be really interesting to see how Shreekumar’s career goes even to greater heights.
Fathima Babu
Born in 1963, Fathima Babu is a South Indian actress, former newsreader and socialite based out of Chennai who hails from Puducherry. Fathima began her public career as a newsreader for more than 25 years with DD Podhigai and later worked for Jaya TV. She subsequently moved on to work in television serials, films and theatre performances, operating in the Tamil and Malayalam languages.
Fathima has a rich history of working in various mediums and always adds to the storyline with her amazing acting.
Before starting her work in Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Fathima Babu acted and directed Thaarama Tallyaa. In fact, she was a part of Bigg Boss Tamil too in 2019.
Nachathira
One more actor I love to watch in Yaaradi Nee Mohini is Nachathira! Born in Kerala, Nachathira made her acting debut in the Tamil film “Kida Poosari Magudi” along with Ramdev, directed by J.Jayakumar and produced by T.Thamizhmani. Her performances in many films were lauded especially in “Kida Poosari Magudi” which was one of the Best films of the year 2016.
With her sweet smile and great acting skills Nachathira indeed wins hearts in Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
