Seriously, gone are those days when I used to do elaborate planning for the Valentine’s Day. Wow, buy special gifts, plan something “out-of-this-world” for then-boyfriend-now-hubby and what not. Now, with 2 kids, it’s the Family Valentine’s Day. LOL!
Still Valentine’s Day is quite a big fun. Now certain special lovey-dovey stuff we can plan as an entire Family and some we-time as a couple also can be explored.
Here is my list of 5 Valentine’s Day ideas. Have a read and feel free to share some more…
Nothing quick like chocolates and still always works!
Just get some designer chocolates and sweet! Then You have made the Valentine’s special already. Hubby would be pleasantly surprised and kids would be dancing with joy too.
Gift something handmade
– Whatever you can think of…It could be a card, could be some hand-painted showpiece to go on his office desk or you could even churn out some delish dish he loves. I am planning to make this Cake Pop dessert which can be made in under 10 minutes and tastes heavenly.
Also, how about writing this kind of a letter? ♥

Advance Happy Valentines to you! My boyfriend and I are in a long distance and both busy. So, we most of the times just greet each other during special occasions like this. But it does not mean that our love life is boring. We always say I love you to each other and travel together once or twice a year. 🙂
Oh goodness, the tapas look really delish! I hope I have time to do something for my boyfriend! We are really busy 🙁
I like that last idea about the “I Still Do.” Everyday should be Valentine’s Day, but this day just reminds us of that important fact.
Beautiful options. But your last line is the main point – just a kiss and hug would do. Afterall love is love is love indeed!!!
While I don’t personally believe in celebrating Valentine’s day I think these ideas are beautiful. Especially gifting those cute chocolate truffles and something hand made 🙂
lovely ideas.. the best is to stay at home and express n shower luv especially when wid young kids..
Chocolates is always a great idea for Valentine’s day. A couple’s picnic would also be romantic.
Those tapas look delish! Even if I am single, I do Valentine’s stuff by cooking fancy dinner for my family. Usually, it is my chance to experiment with dishes.
I like all the promos, discounts and creative ideas about VDay, but we don’t celebrate because of traffic and crazy restaurant reservations. I do love giving and receiving personalized gifts though 😀
We don’t do Valentine’s stuff. We purposely avoid going out on this day because traffic gets awful when everyone else in the metro is out on a date, lol. I agree that chocolates will never go out of style, just like flowers & doing something personalized + hand-made. I’m an old soul so these Valentine’s classics always work for me.
