Celebrate Christmas in an All New Eco Style at City Square Mall
On the 18th of November 2022, City Square Mall in collaboration with Temasek Polytechnic’s (TP), School of Design officially launched and set a record for “The Largest Display of Christmas Trees Made of Repurposed Materials” in the Singapore Book of Records!
These Christmas trees were created by the students and teachers working together using pre-owned and sustainable materials from City Square Mall tenants such as NTUC FairPrice, Watsons, Airzone, FujiFilm, Starbucks and Decathlon. Each of these Christmas trees were put together by the students using a variety of materials in creative ways to highlight a key sustainability message to the public. Some of the students also used this project to raise awareness on specific sustainability issues that they are passionate about.
Aside from advocating for the importance of sustainability during this festive period, there are also plenty of heart-warming stories behind the Christmas trees. The 12 Christmas trees are on display at City Square Mall’s Fountain Square from 18 November to 28 December 2022.
