Mother’s Day is just over and I found a perfect reason to kick off the celebrations with a fine dining dinner at Restaurant JAG with my daughter. We loved our time and the food at this French Fine Dining place and definitely will recommend it to you all to visit.
The Location:
Restaurant JAG is quite near from Tanjong Pagar MRT and people working in CBD can go here anytime. Either for lunch or for dinner – Restaurant JAG has the prefect menu for corporate and business meetings. If you are not staying or working in CBD, Friday nights or Saturdays should suit you and celebrating your special occasions here would be a great decision.
The Ambience:
We go to the restaurant for food but ambience makes the first impression! Restaurant JAG has something calming and soothing about it. We went nearing the Sunset and the atmosphere inside the restaurant instantly put us in ease.
You will find some exquisite interior decoration pieces like custom wooden trolley from Singapore’s Kjung Woodwork, glasswork from Kimura in Japan and so on.
This definitely helps to deliver flawless dining experience for their guests. The Dining Room has seven tables and you can watch the purity of the food served from the custom-built Open kitchen. So you are sure that you are eating really good stuff.
The Food
If you are thinking that vegetarian and vegan food tastes bland and should be eaten only as a side-dish / salad, you are in such a misunderstanding! Vegetarian and Vegan food tastes heavenly and it is so fulfilling to your palate.
Each Vegetarian and Vegan dish is presented as a Work of Art in Restaurant JAG and you can’t help but appreciate its beauty before appreciating its fine taste.
Since it’s a french dining restaurant, you will meet as many as 40 indigenous herbs inspired by the beauty and nature of the mountainsides in Savoie, France. Every dish is intimately created to highlight the distinctive trait of each herb.
Paying homage to the myriad of natural flavours, textures and smells extracted from seasonal vegetables, JAG is highly inspired by their vegetarian and vegan diners. Each dish comes to you with its own unique flavor and looks incredibly beautiful. Check the pics and you will nod in agreement.
You can literally eat to your heart’s content because Lunch and Dinner at Restaurant Jag comes in a variety of Five/Seven/Ten Expressions with a choice of Three expressions if you are a small eater. We had Five expressions and we were full at the end of it but not bloated! Our tummies were very happy.
Wine Pairings
Great food tastes even better with classy wines. Agree? Then you must enjoy the super amazing collection of hand-selected Tequila, Mescal, Gin, Vodka and Rums from boutique distillers that Restaurant JAG has curated. You will find an impressive wine selection of over 230 expressions and sake selection of 25 expressions! Wine aficionados, it’s time for you to rejoice.
In addition to this, Restaurant JAG offers an exclusive Caviar Experience. Finest selection of caviars are served with a perfectly paired bottle of champagne.
Restaurant JAG’s well-appointed The Lounge Bar, has a dedicated bar bites and collection of spirits. The Lounge Bar is upstairs the restaurant.
