Singapore looks simply adorable during Christmas. From end Oct itself, it starts preparing to welcome the magic of Christmas. The shopping paradise of Newton – Orchard Road – Somerset looks so decked up, shining and glammed up! Lights, Christmas Trees and other deco adorns the malls and streets.
My favorite malls chain is Frasers Centrepoint. All Frasers malls are always packed with the latest fashion clothes, technology and other attractions for the entire family. The Centrepoint located near Somerset MRT is one such jewel in the shining crown of Frasers malls.
RainbowDiaries got an opportunity to be @ The Centrepoint’s magical media preview of Christmas Made Perfect. Christmas Made Perfect, a series of fun-filled activities, workshops, international acts and giveaways lined up for the coming festive season.
This year also marks the return of The Centrepoint to Orchard Road’s annual best dressed building competition, with its Christmas Clockwork Kitchen concept, a whimsical theme that runs across all 12 Frasers Centrepoint Malls. Personally, I feel that The Centrepoint has very high chances of winning. The theme is simply superb!
“We always look forward to weaving a world of fantasy for our patrons as we celebrate the year-end festive season with thousands of families in Singapore. This year’s Christmas Clockwork Kitchen concept is no different. We are thrilled that The Centrepoint has returned to the Orchard Road Light Up and we hope to surprise and delight families with a festive show kitchen that is larger than life. We will continue to strengthen the lifestyle experience to give families more compelling reasons to visit any of our malls,” said Molly Lim, Assistant General Manager, Frasers Centrepoint Malls.
At the launch, we enjoyed Christmas DIY activities and made some cool fridge magnets and pins. It was creative fun for my arty daughter.
Loads of such DIY activities are lined up in Frasers Centrepoint malls. Parents and children can attend workshops at Waterway Point to build, decorate and bring home their own mini Christmas Tree.
Shoppers with a sweet tooth and an eye for details get a chance to decorate their own cupcakes at Changi City Point, and receive valuable tips from experts at Twelve Cupcakes. Similar dessert decoration workshops will be held at Causeway Point and YewTee Point, where shoppers can choose from a wide range of delectable canvas such as cupcakes, donuts, cookies, candy and Gingerbread Man.
Alice in Wonderland
What’s this? Was I watching Broadway musical on The Centrepoint’s stage? Seriously, I thought so for some time. Gorgeous costumes, whimsical characters and beautiful Alice caught in the wonderland. Kids were laughing, dancing and parents too! The performances of the International cast, magic, music, dance were captivating. What I liked was the way they embedded the world-famous “Roar” song in the storyline.
Special mention to the lady who did circus acts. Her body has no bones apparently!!!
Alice in Wonderland is the highlight event for the Christmas season at The Centrepoint. From 11 to 20 November, children will get to watch a magical stage performance, as well as revel in the spectacular sights of a costume parade and a meet-and-greet with the musical cast.

Play It Forward Finale
Causeway Point will be hosting the last stop of Singapore’s Largest Charity Ball Pool Event, which was launched last Christmas. We had participated in this event in Yishun North Point and it was super-fun for kids. At the same time, it was all for noble cause.
Santa’s Christmas Clockwork Kitchen
Featuring the quirkiest festive kitchen, manned by life-sized Gingerbread Men up to their ears in frosting and cream, the Christmas Clockwork Kitchen at The Centrepoint comes to life every hour in a combination of vibrant colours, fantastical lights and melodies. Watch as the industrious Gingerbread Men hoist giant candy canes and cake pop onto a 10-metre Christmas Tree or enter the enormous Gumball Glasshouse for a festive photo treat.
