That’s some exciting news! A new animated film based on the Super Mario Bros. is releasing on 6th April and that makes our Easter Weekend even more fun! Produced by Illumination and Nintendo, with the co-financing of Universal Pictures, the film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, known for their work on Teen Titans Go!, and the screenplay is written by Matthew Fogel, who worked on The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
The voice cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
