The story behind Gully Kitchen
The brand story behind Gully Kitchen is very intriguing. It’s created through a love of food by three childhood best friends who shared the same passion for travel and food exploration, the founders Gigi Tsakiris, Angelina Kumala and Carolina Kumala conceptualized Gully Kitchen & Bar as they realized there was a lack of diverse upscale street food on Singapore shores.
Ambiance of Gully Kitchen
Gully Kitchen is located at the charming corner of Hong Kong St. – right near Singapore’s Central Business District. The restaurant is designed to be an oasis in the heart of a bustling city, providing diners with a unique vibe that is unlike any other dining concept.
Warm and unpretentious, the quirky décor pays homage to famous cultural influences from all around the world, set against the backdrop of a natural leafy foliage and relaxing dark blue tones to set diners at ease.
We loved the cozy evening spent at this place partly because the ambiance was conducive to enjoy the food and vice-versa.
Gully Kitchen Menu
Gully Kitchen has a menu that represents the founders favourite street-food dishes with a modern twist and reinvented with fine ingredients. Gully Kitchen also collaborated with Blu Kouzina to re-imagine refined comfort food from around the globe.
The menu draws inspiration from diverse influences across the likes of the Mediterranean, Asia, Middle East, and many more. Robust tastes and bold flavors pay homage to regions from around the world, with Gully Kitchen’s street-inspired cosmopolitan offerings a representation of cultural smorgasbord.
Drinks
Gully Kitchen’s concoction of Spritz is impressive! Check it out delights like the refreshing Gin & Cucumber Spritz. Signatures such as the Spicy Margarita and French Kiss are not to be missed.
Special mention to their collection of vegetarian and vegan choices. We loved the taste and quantity! Quite filling and still light of stomach.
