An initiative of SCWO [Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations], the mission of Inspiring Girls in Singapore is to expose young girls between the ages of 11 and 17 (Primary 5 & 6 and all of Secondary School) to a wide range of careers and options in life and to inspire them to aim high. Inspiring Girls is chaired by SCWO 3rd Vice President Ms Lavinia Thanapathy.
RainbowDiaries is honoured to come on board of this campaign and we shared our story how a little girl can do anything she wants and shape her future despite of obstacles.
What we would like to tell our Little Girls?
Your struggles are your triumphs, your mistakes are your lessons and impossible is nothing for you as a girl. Just believe a bit more in yourself and forge ahead! Most importantly, don’t lose that little girl in you ever. She’ll always inspire you throughout the life
Inspiring Girls International is an organisation dedicated to raising the aspirations of young girls around the world by connecting them with female role models. It has been active since 2013 and it is currently running in 8 countries.
You can share your story and inspire girls in Singapore too. All you have to do is: Post a picture of yourself as a young girl and share about your ambitions, doubts and dreams at that age. Also share an advice that you would like to give to your younger self and other girls. Don’t forget to tag @inspiringgirls_sg, @inspiringgirlsint with a hashtag #ThisLittleGirlIsMe
Keep shining, keep inspiring!
