Staycation at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel – Tips to raise the Fun Meter

This year, we did some short travels to Malaysia and Indonesia but couldn’t go on a longer vacation to India or other countries. There were lots of errands to complete and hubby had his office trips too. But that obviously didn’t stop us from having fun. After all, Singapore is such a COMPLETE city and there’s never a single dull moment here. We just returned from our Staycation at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel formerly known as Orchard Parade Hotel and had gala time there.

Orchard Rendezvous Hotel has a great variety of room choices ranging from from 26sqm up to a luxurious 68sqm Suite. Depending on the size of your family, you can choose. This time we had Kids’ grandma accompanying us and wanted to ensure that she feels comfortable. Family Suite was the perfect option for us! It’s spacious and gives you that wow feeling the moment you enter it.

One more bed with a beautiful dining area…Behind the curtains, there is a spacious balcony.

My little ones shared this Family Suite at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel with the parents and grandma with ample space to run around.

Next time we are planning to bring more of our extended family members here when they visit Singapore. More the Merrier!

Soak in the ambience and heritage:

Orchard Parade Hotel had a rich heritage that comes with the world-famous Orchard Road. Pepper plantations used to be located where Orchard Rendezvous Hotel sits now. In 1970, this place became home to Ming Court Hotel, one of the first few establishments in Singapore that welcomed tourists. 

With this latest refurbishment, Orchard Rendezvous Hotel now has a fresh new look and botanical concept and it looks very beautiful. 

Enter the Orchard Rendezvous Hotel and be greeted by the exquisite pepper leaf-inspired chandelier in the lobby and Botanical designs and artwork in the hallways. Also, you can’t miss strolling around the landscaped gardens next to the pool to spot thriving flowers and plants. And yes, don’t miss the marvel at the Vanda Orchard Rendezvous – an orchid hybrid specially commissioned by the hotel. We loved it and clicked many photos. These flowers and plants refresh you instantly.

Outdoor Swimming Pool and Roof Garden at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel:

While kids were taking hearty dips in the swimming pool, we adults were sitting by the pool and admiring the city beauty and skyline. We had some yummy quick bites of Pizza and Milk shake. There’s a wide array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks too for all to enjoy.

Food and Shopping:

Staycation at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel gave us ample opportunity to eat and shop.

In the late evening, we took a stroll down the Orchard road. Lovely glittery Christmas Deco adorning the streets and large Christmas trees spreading festive joy along with shopping promos and deals in the malls…Enthralling experience.

There are some cool restaurants in the hotel to please everyone’s tastebuds. Kam Boat that specializes in Chinese cuisine, Brewerkz Microbrewery & Restaurant, Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus and Modesto’s. Do check out Lobby Bar at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel too.

Chill in the room:

During our Staycation at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel we spent a lot of time chilling and relaxing in the cozy comfort of the room, bed and quilts. We snuggled and talked silly. We watched TV and we surfed the net. Family Bonding at its best! Our room had a big balcony with spectacular views.

We all loved our Orchard Rendezvous Hotel staycation. What an awesome feeling of being in the city and still disconnected from it!
