The Cold Storage Kids Run started as the only running event for kids in 2008 and is the longest running event centered around kids in Singapore. Over the past nine years, the event has attracted over 48,000 children and 128,000 parents and supporters.

Time really flies because this year the Cold Storage Kids Run, celebrates 10 years of healthy eating and active lifestyle.

Ensuring that the 10th edition of the Cold Storage Kids Run will be truly unforgettable, organizers have announced that parents and their little ones can look forward to a beautiful and breezy seaside running route at Sentosa. To minimize traffic congestion and deliver an even better experience for the entire family, the event start time has also been pushed back to 7:15am.

For the 10th anniversary edition of Singapore’s biggest children’s running event, due to popular requests, there is an addition of a new format that caters to families with one child, which allows both parents to run with their child.

Every participant who register for this year’s run will get free admission into Sentosa, a limited edition 10th Anniversary Finishers Tee and Medal, a race pack and a finishers certificate. In addition, kids and their parents can enjoy discounts at attractions like KidZania Singapore, Madame Tussauds, Mega Adventure, 4D Adventureland, Go Green Segway and utilise discount vouchers for retail and restaurants across the island.

Did you attend the roadshow at United Square?

Last weekend, A two day roadshow was held at United Square shopping mall over the weekend. In addition to onsite race registration, parents and children enjoyed food sampling, met Cold Storage’s mascots Banana King and Appleton and also learnt more about healthy eating from wellness expert Christine Rubi-Cruza and a ‘Healthy Lunchbox Contest’, where participating teams of parent and child compete to impress judges by selecting fresh and wholesome foods from Cold Storage.

“Today’s event was fun for the kids and also educational for us parents,” said champion marathoner Jasmine Goh, a guest judge in the ‘Healthy Lunchbox Contest’ and a mother of two. “I personally learnt more about creating healthy and affordable meals with Cold Storage’s health and wellness products. My two daughters have signed up for the run and I look forward to spending a memorable day at the Cold Storage Kids Run on Sentosa come May 28.”
