Symbolizing fortune, the pineapple is the focus of this year’s takeaway goodies, namely the Auspicious Golden Pineapple and The Huat! Tart – both beautifully crafted and ideal as gifts. Adding to the festivities are two new unique ‘Yu Sheng’ platters – Prosperity Amberjack ‘Lo Hei’ and Fruity ‘Lo Hei’ with Rosemary Plum Sauce, as well as new and indulgent savoury delights – Braised Pork Belly with Sea Treasures in Claypot and Braised Whole Chicken with Sea Treasures in Claypot.
Guests may also visit http://festivepromotions.goodwoodparkhotel.com for online takeaway orders. Availability for all Lunar New Year specials is from 10 January to 11 February 2017. Advance order of five days is required for takeaways and the last order date is 6 February 2017 at 12 noon.
A special English Afternoon tea spread showcasing favourite classics and Lunar New Year treats will also be available at the cosy high tea destination, L’Espresso from 27 to 30 January 2017.

Chinese New Year Revelry at Park Hotel Alexandra

Park Hotel Alexandra presents Chinese New Year Revelry at The Carvery, Aqua Luna and The Coffee Belt.
To usher in the Year of the Rooster, guests can savour The Carvery’s Chinese-inspired menu which features a rotating line-up of Crispy pork belly with apricot ginger sauce; Honey-roasted leg of lamb; Salt baked chicken; Flower crab stew; Roasted duck breast with yam croquette; Braised beef brisket; Golden pumpkin rice; Persimmon fruit compote; and a Yuzu trifle.
Not forgetting, no Chinese New Year feast would be complete without Yusheng and at The Carvery we have the Golden Eight Treasures Yusheng – consisting cured Norwegian trout, fried fish skin, salmon roe, marinated baby octopus, jellyfish, scallop frills, and fresh seaweed; crowned with a house-made plum sauce and crisp “pok chui” crackers. Each serving of Golden Eight Treasures Yusheng is $38.80++ for four to six persons.
