Singapore is a busy city just like any other leading cities of the world. Regular hustle-bustle of working parents, school-going kids, zoom-vroom of cars, buses and trains, crowded financial districts…where is the time to stop and relax? Weekends come and go in a jiffy…grocery shopping, exams, running other errands…
For plant enthusiasts, there is a great resource @ NParks site – https://florafaunaweb.nparks.gov.sg/Special-Pages/plant-detail.aspx?id=3471
30-40 minutes spent here literally broke the invisible chain that binds us and constantly reminds us about work to be done, objectives to be achieved and other worries and stress..
We still had to return to the reality after a while but what’s the harm to lose ourselves for some time at least?! We all totally deserve to find small joys of life wherever and whenever we can 🙂 🙂

Long time didn’t go for a walk at the park, should do more often, it’s good for health as well 🙂
So beautiful this place! Love all your photos. Never know that spore got such a nice place though 🙂 cheers, SiennyLovesDrawing
I love visiting Singapore as it’s so convenient getting around. Beautiful park! Do share photos of the beach too!
I never know Singapore has a nice place like this. Look like a film. Feel like want to play running in there with leornado DE Caprio
I love the park although its a busy and compact city but there are beautiful parks around for the community.
sometimes when you hop off the car and take slow walks, the perspective of things changes and there’s so many things we start to notice that we didn’t before
This place is beautiful. Basically I can say, Singapore is a peaceful and clean country. I have never visit Sebawang park as usually my friend will bring me to shopping mall. haha. I should visit it one day
good sharing, sometimes we need a relaxing timeout like this. I’ve done it a couple of times too, but for me, since I’m based in KL, i’ll head down to the beaches of Port dickson instead.
I love spending time in park too! It feels much relaxing compare to hanging out in the mall. 😉
wow something different you can find in Singapore. I have always heard about it, but never actually really set foot on the place. would love to have the chance!
Never know that there is a nice place at Singapore. Will visit it when I’m around. 🙂
Natural park is a good place for a relaxing walk and calm our stress working life. Its a must visit place once a week. I love the fresh air too with all the trees around =D
It’s beautiful, I love nature, from your photos.
I can feel this park is so relaxing.
When I am stress, I go for a walk/ jog in a park as well.
I really wish we had parks like this in Manila. Maybe I could have a beautiful quiet moment like this! So nice! 😀
We all need that one precious moment to run away from all the problems of the world – just to be with yourself and reclaim that sanity. Now you know where you should go to have that one moment.
I agree… we do have to find some calm in such places some times just to relax and get our sanity back
Whenever I stressed I like to take a walk or jog in the park. At least it keep my mind clear from all the worry and stress. After that I can think better and calm.
Agree with you, city life is all about fast fast fast, running errands, and in KL, getting stuck in traffic jams, forever. So yeah, going back to Mother Nature is indeed the way to unwind. When I’m down in SG, I will visit this lovely park. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
It’s always nice to be in nature especially in a modern city like Singapore. I should try Sembawang Park when I am in Singapore. I’ve tried visiting the Botanical Garden and East Coast Park in Singapore before.
I thought Singapore don’t have such place because i know singapore as a busy and metropolitan country
There is still a place to relax and hide amidst the busy city life.
That’s great I never know that singapore has kind that place, what I know is singapore is metropolitan hehehe
Such a nice park. Would love to stroll around that park when i visit SG 😀
For such a small country, Singapore still has so many green lungs. I hope to be able to enjoy them more when I next visit.
Lovely park to visit.. Very near to nature althought it’s in city like cingapore~
Agree! Singapore is a hustle bustle busy city! The park look so calming and relaxing 🙂
What a great find! I love finding out about unknown places. It’s better to relax when there’s a place you can go to that’s less crowded and very quiet. It’s nice to escape for a while!
I love how Singapore has planned its country. It has urban areas and parks even if it is a small country. You are lucky to be able to enjoy the outdoors this way.
singapore is a place i want to visit one day. hopefully i can visit soon
I love the aesthetic serenity of that environment. I’ll appreciate to tour around the place with ease.
it looks so quiet and calm here! It is indeed such a great place to come to to get away from one’s hectic routines. These are the kinds of places i love strolling to when i need to clear my head or to just cool off!
Yes, there are really times when we want to really get away from the stresses of the iron jungle and spend time in a nice quiet park. So lucky of Singapore to still have green areas in what is primarily an island city. Very important for a city to have parks and other green areas.
Indeed gorgeous. I always intend to visit the non-cosmopolitan non-commercial places. That’s my taste in travel. Glad you showed us the unusual places of Singapore…
That place sure looks beautiful. I know for a fact it has a calming effect on you. I do that a lot as well. I always make time to unwind and bond with nature. Life these days is pretty fast paced. I like to slow things down and let my soul catch up to me and re-connect with myself. 🙂
Great post here! Thanks for sharing. Sure looks like you enjoyed the time that you spent in that place.
This place looks simply amazing! I am sure it is perfect for a relaxing day! I’d definitely like to visit it! The flowers are beautiful, as are the trails and landscapes. Truly beautiful!
Communing with nature is a good way to relax and unwind. I took some time out last week and went to the beach as well. 🙂
Wow! It will take a lot of effort for my husband n I to just head to the park and enjoy the sights really. We probably used to do that while we were dating but now with we time being so precious, we will always put other activities on top of the list like watching a movie hhaa
Oh my goodness it looks beautiful there. It’s the places that you accidentally find that leaves lasting impressions and beautiful memories. In the caribbean we have that flower and we call it a “comb & brush” because of the way it looks. 🙂
Going out and enjoying the nature is the best we can enjoying together as a family. Somehow in the rush of city we forgot to enjoy these simple pleasure.
Hello Shub! I enjoy taking walks in the parks with my little one and my other half too. Not only is it a good form of exercise, we also get to enjoy the greenery of nature. Family time like these are so precious! 🙂
We love going to the park too. But ours is a noisier affair with the boys running and shouting.
Sembawang Park is near me! My boys like the playground there.
Looks so quiet and peaceful from your pictures ! Good place to stay away from the bustling town! Happy Weekends !
it really is a joy to be able to just walk around aimlessly, without a care and just taking in the moment. I hope you and your family have more of such walks and moments 🙂

Sembawang Park is quite nice for a quiet stroll, scoot or cycling (got to bring own bike). In terms of accessibility, it is not convenient for non-car drivers though. Such a pity!
